NoiseBit is developed and maintained by SmartWhale Technologies, an independent software company based in India.
From you directly: Nothing.
NoiseBit does not require an account. It does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any personal information at any point.
All data generated by your use of the app — focus session durations, noise preferences, Pomodoro counts, sleep timer settings — is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. This data never leaves your phone.
NoiseBit uses two third-party services. Both are provided by Google and have their own privacy policies.
The free version of NoiseBit shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device information including your advertising ID, IP address, and general device data to serve relevant ads. SmartWhale Technologies does not receive or store any of this data.
You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
Google Privacy Policy →If you purchase NoiseBit Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. SmartWhale Technologies never sees or stores your payment card details, billing address, or any payment information.

Required so NoiseBit can continue playing noise when your screen turns off or when you switch to another app. Without this, audio would stop immediately. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
Android 13+ requires explicit permission to show the persistent playback notification (with play/pause controls). This notification is only shown while audio is playing. |
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS |
Allows NoiseBit to properly request audio focus so it can pause when a phone call arrives and resume afterward. |
NoiseBit is built to OWASP MASVS Level 1 security standards. Specifically:
NoiseBit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since NoiseBit collects no personal data from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.
